Introduction
This document provides a step-by-step guide to connecting your POS software to an Orbit Terminal using either Linkly OnPrem or Linkly Cloud.
Prerequisites
Before beginning the setup process, determine whether your POS software will connect via Linkly On-Prem or Linkly Cloud, as each integration type involves different installation and configuration steps.
The Terminal's communication method must also be configured accordingly.
For guidance on the appropriate integration type, please contact your POS provider, additional Orbit Terminal Configuration steps can be found here.
Once the integration type is confirmed, proceed to the corresponding section of this document.

- You will be taken to the 'Eftpos Control Panel' window, specifically in the 'Eftpos' tab.
To attempt a Logon, press the 'Logon' button to confirm the device is communicating correctly.
- This will trigger a Logon prompt on the Terminal and display a success message on the POS.
- Finally, test a transaction from the POS to ensure that the POS can successfully communicate with the Linkly Client Software.
This completes the setup procedure.
Linkly Cloud POS Setup
Linkly Cloud integration is only available for sites authorised by their Acquirer.
To process Linkly Cloud integrations the Pinpad Terminal and the POS Application system must be paired.
This requires the following credentials:
- Linkly Cloud ID and Password.
- Paircode (Generated directly from the Terminal).
Once you have obtained these credentials, enter them into the pairing section of your POS software.
If you're unsure how to do this or need assistance, please contact your POS provider for support. If you do not yet have a Cloud ID and Password, these can be requested from your Terminal provider or acquirer.
Check that the Terminal is successfully paired by performing a Logon or Transaction request from the POS.
If you are unable to perform transactions, contact your POS provider for support.
This completes the set up procedure.
