Introduction
Linkly Cloud is our cloud-based middleware platform that enables secure, real-time communication between payment terminals and Point of Sale (POS) systems over the internet.
By eliminating the need for a physical, on-premises middleware application, Linkly Cloud allows merchants to operate seamlessly and securely from any location, on any device.
Prerequisites
-
The acquirer and payment terminal must be compatible to integrate with Linkly Cloud.
Please speak with your acquirer to see if Linkly Cloud is compatible for your solution.
Alternatively, you can browse the acquirer solution types from our website.
-
A Point of Sale (POS) that is accredited with Linkly Cloud.
You can visit our website to see if your POS provider is accredited for Linkly Cloud.
-
Linkly Cloud credentials.
The Linkly Cloud credentials are used to connect the merchant POS to a Linkly compatible payment terminal.
The Linkly Cloud credentials will be sent via email to the email address nominated as part of the merchant application started from the bank, if the credentials cannot be located, or need to be reset, please contact Linkly support here.
-
A strong and reliable Wi-Fi or Ethernet internet connection.
Reliable network communications are required for the payment terminal to connect to the POS via the Linkly Cloud.

Linkly Cloud Troubleshooting and Support
Cloud Diagnostics
This screen can be accessed by pressing the 'Func' button and entering '7410', then selecting 'Cloud Diagnostics'. This screen can be used by merchants and support staff to validate the Cloud connection status. Select ‘Details’ to view the details of the connection.
Cloud Connect Failure
This error will appear when there is a Cloud connection failure after completing The Cloud configuration Setup. Try the steps below to resolve:
- Retrying the handshake or resetting the pairing may resolve the connection error.
- If the error is still not resolved, reviewing the network connection settings specified during the terminal setup process may be required or attempt to connect to an alternative network.
- Attempt to isolate the pinpad from the local network by creating a cellular hotspot from a mobile phone and connecting the pinpad to this network, then re-attempt pairing.
